Assembly points of thrust ball bearings

The assembly points of thrust ball bearings include:

Clean and inspect. Before installation, use clean gasoline or alcohol to clean the bearings and check the inner and outer rings, rolling elements and raceways for scratches, rust or wear.
Fit to size. Ensure that the matching dimensions of the inner and outer rings, journals and housing holes strictly comply with the design requirements to ensure operational stability and reduce wear.
Installation direction. Follow the specified installation directions, paying special attention to bearings with cages, to ensure correct installation and operation.
Axial and radial preload. Preloading is achieved by adjusting the distance between the inner and outer rings or the distance between two opposing bearings to obtain better support performance.
Lubricant. Add an appropriate amount of lubricant according to design requirements to reduce friction and wear and prevent corrosion and oxidation.
Distinguish the direction of the rings. Ensure that the direction of the moving ring (the ring with the smaller hole diameter) and the static ring (the ring with the larger hole diameter) is correct. The static ring should be pressed against the end face of the bearing seat hole.
Control cage and steel ball. Pay attention to the quality of the pressing of the cage and steel balls, and the control of the nominal height after the bearing is assembled.
Avoid using a fit that is too tight or too loose. This can lead to erratic bearing operation or premature wear.
Avoid direct hammering. During the installation process, direct hammering on the inner and outer rings of the bearing should be avoided to avoid affecting the fitting accuracy or causing damage.
Use appropriate assembly methods. According to the size and requirements of the bearing, select the appropriate assembly method, such as hammering method, screw press or hydraulic press assembly method, hot assembly method, etc.

Storage and care. When storing bearings, the warehouse should be kept clean and dry, with the relative humidity not exceeding 65%, and the bearings should not be stored on the floor. Bearings that have been in stock for more than 1 year must be re-cleaned and oiled.
